"A fine choice." He reached for a glass and went to pour it, but was having difficulty getting the bottle open. "Oops," he snickered.
“Firewhiskey is the best.”Cat laughed and stood up, taking the bottle from his hand and opening it before pouring it into a glass. “Are you having anything?”
"The drinks are over here, Cat, so let’s go and change that fact. What’s your poison?"
"Fine. It wouldn’t hurt to have another drink..I guess I’ll have firewhiskey."
"Only three? Merin, I had that many before the party started!”
She nodded, “Giddy and I spent the first part,um, talking…So I haven’t had a chance to have much, yet.”
"What?! Ridiculous! It’s his birthday, that’s a stupid deal."
"I know! I’m thinking of breaking it just a little bit. I’ve only had three drinks since arriving!"
"Is that a bad thing?"
"Not really I suppose. I made a deal with Gid that we both wouldn’t get drunk."
"Uh… is that a trick question?"
"Nope..You’ve definitely had more than me though."
"I know! I love her," he grinned.
Cat laughed, “That’s cute…How much have you drunk, Sirius?”
"Hey, you’re pretty."
"Hey, you’ve got a girlfriend."
Ted felt like the world was going to slip away from him at any moment. He didn’t know exactly what Bellatrix had done to him; only snippets and pieces of the attack flowed into his mind, but he didknow that the agony was absolutely awful. He’d never been in so much pain. For some reason, he thought of when he was nine years old and broke his arm climbing a tree. That pain was nothing compared to this, and his mother wasn’t here now to kiss and soothe the pain away… no, he was all alone, he was going to die alone…
A voice broke through the fog in his head. Ted, still leaning against the brick wall, turned his head towards in. Soon enough he was looking at Cathleen and reaching an arm towards her instinctively, his gaze pleading for her to help him.
Catheen didn’t know what to do. Even when her younger siblings hurt themselves, there was either her parents in the house or her older brother to help her. This was the first time she’d dealt with an injury before. She had no idea what had happened before she stumbled across Ted in the alleyway.
Cat knelt down and smiled at Ted, trying to reassure him. “It’s Cat..I’m going to help you….Ted, can you tell me what happened?” Cathleen then sat down and placed herself in a position where Ted was leaning on her, rather than the hard wall. She got out her wand and muttered, “Episky, in order to give him a bit of pain relief to some of the more minor injuries.
"Oh isn’t that fun. It honestly is. It’s always good, no matter what we do. We just got something, Catty." Gideon blushed and smiled, looking down, "Is it bad that I really liked doing that?"
"It’s not that exciting. I think you’d appreciate it though. Giddy, it is sometimes scary how some bad situations turn good when we’re together..I suppose we do." Cat bit her lip and smiled back, "I liked doing that as well..The only problem we have is that you’ve just gotten out of a relationship."
